Meet Dr. Meagan M. von Holtz, DC
Dr. Meagan M. von Holtz, D.C. has a neuroscience degree from the prestigious Wellesley College in Massachusetts, and she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree with Summa Cum Laude honors from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. She joined the team at Advanced Rehab and Medical in 2006. She believes that every person has something unique and necessary to give to the world through their own life-affirming passions and giftings, and she loves to use all that she has learned and experienced to help people do just that.
She has hundreds of hours of advanced training in neurologically based chiropractic, degenerative conditions, nutrition, and functional medicine. It was after her own journey for health and wellness took a dive in 2017, that she found functional medicine and used it to help her become a much healthier version of herself. In November of 2019, she graduated from a year long Mentorship with Kalish Institute of Functional Medicine. She is currently nearing completion of another functional medicine certification with the Functional Medicine Academy. She knows firsthand how health challenges can make us feel like we are sinking and losing ourselves. Her newest passion is to be an expert guide in functional medicine for anyone who wants to become empowered by learning ways to optimize how their own body functions...and experience more life in their life!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does Functional Medicine Work?
A: Yes! In functional medicine we follow a systems approach. The idea is that if we can improve the function of the different organ systems and help them communicate more effectively, the overall function of the body improves. When the systems function more efficiently, it doesn’t take as much energy to run the system, and people feel better! We have more energy for dreaming and doing instead of just coping. The field of functional medicine is founded in science, and it continues to grow and change as more research emerges.
Q: Do you accept my insurance?
A: Advanced Rehab and Medical does accept insurance, HOWEVER, the services that we use within the functional medicine department are deemed non-covered services. In order to effectively identify underlying root cause issues and obtain results we use advanced lab testing that is not typically used within conventional medical practices and is not covered by insurance. You can utilize FSA/HSA funds. Additionally, we can generate a detailed invoice that you can submit to your insurance company on your own, in an extra effort to petition coverage.
Q: Can you help me?
A: That is a great question! Since we are all unique, the best thing to do is schedule a Reclaim MY Life call and tell us a little bit about yourself and what you have been experiencing. It will give you the opportunity to meet us, and we can give you an idea of what to expect and let you know if we feel like it would be a good fit. What have you got to lose?
Q: Are the Reclaim My Life calls virtual or can I come and meet you in person?
A: We offer both in-person and telehealth visits.
Real Patients. Real Results.
