Advanced Rehab and Medical, P.C. offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy or BHRT as part of our wellness services in Jackson, TN. As you age, your hormone levels decrease, which can interfere with many of your body’s functions and processes. This can lead to various symptoms that interfere with your energy levels, thyroid, and other aspects of your health.
Our hormone replacement does not use any synthetic products. Instead, we use bioidentical hormone pellet therapy. This plant-based option closely replicates your natural hormones. This treatment minimizes the risk of side effects. Our team tailors this solution to your needs to optimize your hormone levels.
We are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5.30pm. To help you receive the medical care you need, you can opt for a payment plan. Our first-time clients are eligible for a complimentary consultation.
During your first hormone therapy appointment, we evaluate whether you are a candidate for BHRT with extensive lab work, a detailed review of your medical history, and a physical evaluation. These steps help us decide whether hormone pellet treatment suits your needs, and how to tailor your therapy to your particular situation.
Your testing results help the compounding pharmacy we work with to create customized pellets to reach the desired hormone levels. Other biological factors like weight and age also play a role. Contrary to BHRT pills or topical cream, we inject pellets directly into your bloodstream for optimized absorption, A few doctor appointments throughout the year also make this type of hormone therapy convenient and do not require you to remember to take medication every day.
During a treatment session, we numb the area, usually around the hip or upper buttocks. Our provider performs a small incision to insert the hormone pellet. We secure the injection site with a bandage. The pellet will dissolve and release the hormones into your bloodstream.
After a pellet insertion, we recommend that you avoid swimming, baths, and strenuous physical activity for a few days. You can still walk and shower safely. Our team provides you with specific guidelines according to your age and health to maximize your BHRT results. You can usually resume any regular activities after the removal of your bandage.
You can notice improvements as quickly as four weeks. However, full results can take up to six months. Many individuals report positive changes after their second pellet injection.
The primary goal of BHRT hormone therapy is restoring appropriate levels of estrogen or testosterone depending on your specific needs. Hormone therapy pellets can prevent or address imbalances. It is possible to reverse certain health issues you experience thanks to this natural treatment.
Low estrogen levels can lead to depression, decreased sex drive, night sweats, and cardiovascular problems. A hysterectomy or experiencing the perimenopausal, menopausal, or postmenopausal phases are common causes for less estrogen.
Reduced levels of testosterone can lead to irritability, chronic fatigue, sexual dysfunction, thyroid issues, and decreased muscle strength.
Inadequate levels of estrogen or testosterone can cause metabolic syndrome, which can lead to obesity, a higher risk of elevated blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and increased sugar levels. BHRT hormone therapy effectively restores your physical, mental, and emotional health, so you can engage in the activities you love again.
